Military Road E-Ramps
What/where is it?
The Military Road E-Ramps provide direct access to the Warringah Freeway and Gore Hill Freeway.
There are two tolled north-facing ramps: one northbound, heading onto the Warringah Freeway at Falcon Street and Military Road, Neutral Bay; and one southbound, heading from the Warringah Freeway onto Military Road.
The northbound tolled ramps bypass up to 19 sets of traffic lights (along Pacific Highway) for motorists from the lower North Shore heading north-west to the upper North Shore and the M2 Motorway, and vice versa.
Why use it?
The Military Road E-Ramps deliver a number of benefits:
- Quicker travel times between Neutral Bay/North Sydney and Artarmon/Lane Cove and beyond.
- Electronic tolling that avoids cash booths
- Bypass of up to 19 sets of traffic lights along the Pacific Highway
- A direct link to Sydney's expanding orbital motorway network.
How much does it cost?
For Military Road E-Ramps toll prices, see Tolling.
How do I pay?
The E-Ramps use a free-flow, fully electronic toll collection system.
The system accepts all electronic tags and Sydney-based passes.
There will be an administration charge in addition to the toll if you do not use an electronic tag when driving through the E-Ramps. This is the same arrangement as Westlink M7 and the Cross City Tunnel.
Motorists without tags can use the E-Ramps by purchasing a Roam Express e-PASS. All Sydney-based passes can be used on the E-Ramps.
For information on purchasing a tag/pass, see tolling information.
