Routine Lane Cove Tunnel closures: December 2009
The Lane Cove Tunnel will be closed for scheduled routine night time maintenance during December as follows:
West bound: 10:00pm Monday 30 November to 5:00am Tuesday 1 December;
10:00pm Tuesday 1 December to 5:00am Wednesday 2 December;
10:00pm Wednesday 2 December to 5:00am Thursday 3 December; and
10:00pm Thursday 3 December to 5:00am Friday 4 December
East bound: 10:00pmMonday 7 December to 5:00am Tuesday 8 December;
10:00pm Tuesday 8 December to 5:00am Wednesday 9 December;
10:00pm Wednesday 9 December to 5:00am Thursday 10 December; and
10:00pm Thursday 10 December to 5:00am Friday 11 December
Planned night time maintenance activities are carried out to ensure the long-term continued operation of the tunnel and its operating systems. These closures are part of our ongoing commitment to safety.
The closure times have been planned to minimise any inconvenience to motorists.
To advise motorists, there will be surface road signage on Epping Road, Pacific Highway, Gore Hill Freeway, M2 and other access roads.
To avoid the tunnel, motorists travelling toward the CBD on the M2 Motorway will be diverted on to Epping Road. If travelling westbound on the Gore Hill Freeway follow the signs to Longueville Road then to Epping Road.
The next scheduled routine night time maintenance closure of the tunnel in both directions will be
March 2010.
